


BSQ's Blood Donation Camp
Bengali Society of Queensland organised a Blood/Plasma donation camp at Life Blood Centre in Springwood in partnership with FICQ and Australian India News and Australian Red Cross. Ten donors (10) had successfully donated blood and plasma across Springwood and Edward Street centres of Life Blood Centre.
Cr. Natalie Willcocks – Deputy Mayor, Logan City Council who was the special guest and inaugurated the blood donation camp. “It is a great initiative from BSQ”- commented Ms. Wilcox.
“On the special occasion of the 75th year of Indian Independence, it is really sensational that we have created a platform to save lives”- commented Ms Brinda Dutta, President BSQ. She gave special thanks to members who have organised this Blood Donation camp for BSQ
Mr Wes Thomas, Group Account Manager from Australian Red Cross Life Blood Donor service graced the occasion and applauded the entire arrangement from BSQ for Blood Donation.
Several members and Executive Members present from BSQ were euphoric about the blood donation and considered that it is a journey that has just begun. It believes that in the coming days and months, there will be more blood donors who will come forward from the community.
